Missional Engagement Grant

Helping ministries take it to the next level

Missional Engagement Grants are possible because of generous giving to the CBF Heartland Endowment Fund. Grants are administered by the CBF Heartland Endowment Board and the CBF Heartland Coordinator.

Award Amount: up to $1500

Award Process: Applicants would be wise to first contact Coordinator Jeff Langford about availability of a grant. The next step is to download, complete and return the Grant Application. Applicants will be notified within one month of final decision.

Applicant Eligibility: Missional Engagement Grants are available to any Heartland-area church, ministry, group or individual sharing the values of the Fellowship.

Successful Applications: Successful applications will articulate plans that meet specific needs in specific ways. They will value accountability and follow-through. They will demonstrate a commitment to the ministry or mission, whether or not the Missional Engagement Grant is received.

A Note about Personnel Costs: This grant is focused on missional engagement with potential for on-going impact. With that in mind, projects requiring on-going grants or similar funding to sustain personnel costs are not likely to be successful applicants. Personnel costs that result in sustainable on-going ministry or mission will be accepted.

Funding: Requisitions for all expenses are to be submitted to CBF Heartland when vendors are to be paid directly. If the applicant wishes to be reimbursed for expenses, they must submit all receipts, with expenses not to exceed the approved grant amount.

* MEGs are possible because of the generous legacy gift from the former Christ Memorial Baptist Church (St.  Louis). The missions energy from that church lives on each year because of the gift they provided to CBF Heartland and a number of other Baptist and community ministries throughout Missouri.
