New Church Starters
Join a group of men and women exploring the idea of starting new churches in the Heartland. Learn more about CBF’s New Church Starts Academy.
Be a part of building bridges and relationships with African-American pastors and congregations in Columbia, Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.
Join college ministry leaders from schools and churches as they share ways to minister effectively. Help plan an annual retreat for college students.
Together for Hope
Help CBF Heartland implement the transformational concepts of Together for Hope in the Midwest. Join the thriving TFH efforts in South Dakota or explore new community development opportunities in other parts of the Heartland.
A group of church leaders coordinate our effort to supply a high-quality missions-emphasis summer camp for students grades 4-6. Learn more about ways to become involved.
Help promote the Heart for Missions Offering in your local church. This offering benefits vibrant mission and ministry throughout the Heartland.
Join a network of individuals involved in responding to disasters in places like Haiti and Joplin, Mo. Help inform individuals across the Heartland about preparedness and service opportunities.
Join our work with advocacy partner Missouri Faith Voices or get involved on a national level through CBF’s ongoing advocacy efforts or through the Advocacy in Action conference.
Church/State separation is a key Baptist principle. Stay informed and involved through the work of CBF partner Baptist Joint Committee.
Learn about the life-shaping experiences that Leadership 21 provides. Or lead efforts in your area to promote Student.Go or the Collegiate Congregational Internships programs.
CBF Heartland encourages college students to invest a semester in service through Student.Go. Learn about ways to serve or to encourage students who are serving.
Many CBF people yearn for opportunities to get together. Use your gift of hospitality to host a Fellowship group in your home.
Emerge is a leadership training course to help church lay leaders develop the skills and understanding to help the church thrive. Join in or help a young leader from your church attend.
Churches are becoming increasingly aware of ways they can be more environmentally responsible and become a leading voice for this kind of change in their community. Join a task force to help inform and recommend resources.
Small, focused task groups are always at work on various projects for the Fellowship in the Heartland. Some are administrative, others are ministry-related, still others are exploratory in nature. We would welcome your involvement.
Do you have an interest or skills in photography? Share your talents by taking snapshots at Fellowship events or sharing personal or church-related photos on one of our websites or publications.
Missions continues to be a vibrant part of the Fellowship. There are more than 120 CBF field personnel being the presence of Christ around the world. Support them by helping to promote the Offering for Global Missions or by encouraging field personnel with prayers or letters.

The next generation of Baptists needs to know about the efforts of CBF field personnel in mission settings around the world. Help them see and experience mission through the Fellowship’s mission education curriculum.
