A will is a signed and witnessed document that describes where you want your property to go. Many people first create a will in order to appoint a guardian to care for minor children in their absence. A will is also the place where you appoint an executor to manage the administration of your estate. It is also a way to designate estate assets for ministry or charitable purposes. The benefit of a will is that it is revocable, which means that you can make changes at any time. Charitable Gift Annuity

Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a plan that provides a donor with a fixed income for life and leaves a lasting gift to ministry or charity. A CGA is set up with cash or by transferring a donor’s appreciated assets to the CBF Foundation in exchange for fixed payments for life. The income stream can be quite high depending on the donor’s age. A portion of the income stream is tax free. The donor will receive a charitable tax deduction for the value of the gift and, best of all, the satisfaction of contributing to a worthy ministry or charity.
