Celebration of Excellence 2019

CBF Heartland will host its fifth annual Celebration of Excellence ceremony and banquet on Thursday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at The Berg event space in downtown Kansas City near the Sprint Center.

Our 2019 honorees are:

  • Glenn Miller, co-founder and CEO of Miller Management Systems, and church financial and anti-fraud professional.
  • Don Wideman, retired pastor and former Executive Director of the Missouri Baptist Convention.
  • Center Impact, a multi-faceted, collaborative mentoring program for students in the Center School District of Kansas City.

Paul Baxley, new executive coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship will be our featured speaker.

About the 2018 Event

CBF Heartland hosted its fourth annual Celebration of Excellence ceremony and banquet on Thursday, April 19th at 6 p.m. at the LiUNA Event Center near the corner of Lindbergh and Gravois in St. Louis. Our 2018 honorees were: Donna McDill, a lay leader and missions champion at Third Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo.; Ron and Ina Winstead, emeritus CBF field personnel to China from First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and Hands On Kirkwood, a community service event founded by Kirkwood Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo. Keith Herron, a pastor and former national moderator for CBF, was our featured speaker.
